CheetahCare currently offers a comprehensive menu of tests to diagnose the cause of many common infections.

  • Gastroenteritis

    26 organisms (15 bacterial, 4 protozoan, 7 viral)

    A stool sample, tested for the organisms that most often cause infectious diarrhea

    Common signs & symptoms may include: severe diarrhea, significant fever, and/or bloody stool.

    Test results are typically available next-day.

  • Genital Lesion

    6 organisms (3 bacterial, 3 viral)

    A swab of a genital sore or lesion, tested for the infections most likely to cause symptoms.

    Common signs & symptoms may include: genital ulcer or lesion.

    Test results are typically available next-day.

  • Respiratory Tract Infections

    26 organisms (8 bacterial, 18 viral)

    A nose or throat swab, tested for the viruses & bacteria that most often cause upper and lower respiratory tract infections.

    Common signs & symptoms may include: upper or lower respiratory tract infection, high-grade fever, acute cough, runny nose, pain in throat, wheezing, nasal congestion.

    Test results are typically available next-day.

  • Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI)

    3 organisms (2 bacterial, 1 protozoan)

    A panel including three of the most common causes of STIs - chlamydia, gonorrhea and trichomoniasis

    Common signs & symptoms may include: high risk sexual behavior or suspected exposure to a sexually transmitted infection.

    Test results are typically available next-day.

  • Urinary Tract Infection (UTI)

    26 organisms (21 bacterial, 5 fungal)

    11 AMR genes

    A urine sample, tested for the organisms that most often cause urinary tract infections

    Common signs & symptoms may include: pain/burning/stinging with urination, urgency of urination, increased frequency or pain when urinating.

    Test results are typically available next-day.

  • Vaginitis

    16 organisms (10 bacterial, 5 fungal, 1 protozoan)

    A vaginal swab, tested for the bacteria and yeasts most often associated with bacterial vaginosis and vaginal yeast infections

    Common signs & symptoms may include: vaginal discharge, odor, itching, irritation.

    Test results are typically available next-day.

  • Wound

    18 organisms (15 bacterial, 3 viral)

    11 AMR genes

    A swab of the wound, testing for the organisms that most often result in infections

    Common signs & symptoms may include: recent wound from trauma with erythema, edema, heat, pain and/or fluid-filled lesions on the skin.

    Test results are typically available next-day.
